(KNZA)--A double vehicle collision in Leavenworth County early Tuesday morning sent four people to the hospital—including a Winchester teenager.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says the wreck happened at the intersection of K-92 and 187th Street about five miles west of Leavenworth around 12:30.

The Patrol says 18-year-old Tyler Theno was northbound on 187th Street when he failed to stop for a stop sign and his vehicle struck an eastbound car on K-92 driven by 44-year-old Colo, Iowa resident James Cheaney.

Theno was transported to the University of Kansas Hospital in Kansas City.

Cheaney and two children in his car--7 and 15-year-olds--were transported to Leavenworth’s Cushing Memorial Hospital.
