Valuation Notices for Nebraska Property Owners In The Mail

(KLZA) -- When you head to the mailbox this weekend or early next week you could have mail from your County Assessor.  The 2014 Notice of Valuations must be sent out by June 1st.  If your property had a valuation increase or decrease you will be receiving a notice.  

Richardson County Assessor Pam Vice said the overall Ag Land value in the county increased 15-percent.  Ag Land received a physical review as well as a land use review in the past year.  Residential acreage’s increased five percent and the overall valuation in Humboldt increased five percent.

Richardson County communities inspected this year were Rulo, Salem, Preston and Barada.

In Nemaha County, Nebraska the residential properties in Auburn were physically reviewed this year.  Ag land was revalued based on a three-year sales study.  Commercial properties use a three-year study period and Residential properties a two-year sales study period.
