(KAIR)--An Atchison man, allegedly driving on a suspended drivers license is facing drug related charges after being stopped by a deputy from the Atchison County Sheriff's Office over the weekend.

According to Sheriff Jack Laurie, the deputy spotted 30-year-old Chad Bond driving a vehicle in the 200 block of Kearney just before 7:45 Saturday evening and, knowing he did not possess a valid drivers license, pulled him over.
Upon further investigation, the deputy discovered a clear plastic bag containing what appeared to be marijuana in the rear pocket of Bond's pants.

Bond was arrested at the scene, and transported to the Atchison County Jail where he faces charges of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving while suspended.
