Horton Man Accused of Altercation With Police
06/09/2014

(KNZA)--A Horton man is facing numerous charges following his alleged unwillingness to cooperate with officers responding to a domestic dispute.

Horton Police Chief John Calhoon says 26-year-old David Allen, Jr. was combative when officers arrived on the scene. “We were dispatched on Sunday afternoon to 1505 Second Avenue West in response to a domestic disturbance. Upon our arrival, nearly immediately a physical altercation took place after the individual was told that he would be placed under arrest for domestic violence. An officer for several minutes basically had a physical altercation but the officer was able to subdue Mr. Allen and backup arrived. Mr. Allen was immediately transported to the Brown County Jail.”

Allen was booked into the jail on charges including battery on a law enforcement officer, domestic battery, obstruction of legal process, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
