ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (AP) - St. Joseph police say remains found six months ago near a movie theater have been identified as a 51-year-old homeless man.
Police believe George Hughes likely died of natural causes. A hiker found his body in a field in early January. Hughes had built a makeshift shelter behind Hollywood Theaters during cold weather.
The St. Joseph News-Press reports Hughes once lived in DeKalb County. It was not clear how long he had been living around St. Joseph.
