Kansas Highway Patrol
(KNZA)--A single-vehicle wreck early Sunday morning on a Jefferson County road about two miles south of Winchester sent a Tongonoxie woman to the hospital.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reports 25-year-old Winchester resident Loren Bertels, of Winchester, was northbound on Wellman Road when his car left the roadway and entered the ditch, where it struck an embankment and rolled shortly before 2:30.
A passenger, 28-year-old Katherine Morton, was transported to Topeka’s Stormont-Vail Regional Health Center with unspecified injuries. Bertels wasn’t injured.
