New Police Officer in Mound City
07/15/2014

(KTNC)--Mound City finally has a second police officer.
Cory McDonald has been hired as a full-time officer, filling a position that has been vacant for more than three months.
Mound City Aldermen unanimously approved a recommendation from Chief John Panning to hire McDonald during last week’s regular monthly meeting, and McDonald was sworn into office during the meeting.
McDonald began working in Mound City last Wednesday. He plans to move to Mound City in the next couple months.
Reserve officers and the Missouri State Patrol have been filling in while the city has been searching for a second full-time officer.
