(KMZA)--A Marshall County man is facing multiple charges, accused of making a sparkler bomb and planning to set it off near a home.
22-year-old Home City resident Nicholas Brockman has been charged in Marshall County District Court with criminal use of explosives  by creating simulated explosives from fireworks to intimidate.  He also faces two counts each of assault and disorderly conduct along with one count of criminal damage to property.
Marshall County Attorney Laura Johnson-McNish told the Marysville Advocate that Brockman had been throwing fireworks from a vehicle on July 5th while driving around Home City.  He allegedly threw one at a vehicle driven by Mark Jones, of Home City.  Johnson-McNish said the two men exchanged words and later Brockman allegedly devised a plan to set off a sparkler bomb near Jones’ home.
Brockman was arrested by the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department on July 9th after the officers became aware of the plan.
He is currently free on bond.
