(KTNC)-- A Tarkio woman was injured when she lost control of her car on a northwest Missouri highway Tuesday morning.
The Missouri State Patrol says 60-year-old Barbara Tubbs was driving eastbound on U.S. Highway 136 at 10:20 Tuesday morning, when her 2003 Saturn went off the south side of the road about a mile east of Tarkio.
Tubbs then overcorrected as she tried to steer the car back onto the roadway. The car skidded sideways off the north side of the road and overturned, coming to rest on the driver’s side in a ravine.
Tubbs, who was wearing a seat belt, was flown to the Heartland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph with what were described as moderate injuries.
