(KAIR)--The Atchison County Fair kicked off Tuesday evening with a parade on Effingham's Main Street, and several organizations and individuals took home ribbons for their parade displays.
In the Youth Division, the Meadowlark 4-H club took home the Grand Champion Purple ribbon, Effingham Community was awarded the Reserve Champion Purple ribbon, and a Purple Ribbon was given to the organization Main Event.
In the adult group, first place was awarded to Atchison County Family Community Educators, second went to the Baptist Church, and KVC Behavioral Health Care took home third place.
In the general group, The Bank of Atchison won the purple ribbon, and Exchange Bank was awarded the blue ribbon.
In the Antique Tractors division, the blue ribbon was given to Weldon Gullickson. A red ribbon was awarded to William Kanning, and a third place white ribbon was given to Alex Cummings.
For Antique Cars, Nick Enzbrenner won the blue ribbon, and Larry Eckert took home both the red and white ribbons.
