Omaha Zoo Voted Best in the World
(KTNC)--Nebraskans don't have to travel very far to see the best zoo in the world. Julie Cassetina, a Senior Public Relations Specialist with the travel website TripAdvisor, says the Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium is number one on their Travelers' Choice Awards list of best zoos. Cassetina says 1,600 visitors to the Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium left comments and rated the attraction over the past twelve months and it earned five out of five "bubbles" or stars.
Cassetina says visitors rave about the Desert Dome and the Lied Jungle - both are the largest of their kind in the world.
Other zoos that made TripAdvisor's top ten list include:
2. San Diego Zoo (San Diego)
3. Loro Parque (Puerto de la Cruz, Spain)
4. St. Louis Zoo (St. Louis)
5. Singapore Zoo (Singapore)
6. Chester Zoo (Chester, UK)
7. Prague Zoo (Prague)
8. Tiergarten Schoenbrunn-Zoo Vienna (Vienna)
9. Bioparc Valencia (Valencia, Spain)
10. Gramado Zoo (Gramado, Brazil)
