(KNZA)--A special sign dedication is set for Wednesday, as the Kickapoo Tribe and the City of Horton work towards a stronger partnership.
According to a news release, the sign will be unveiled on the west edge of the Horton city limits, with Horton Mayor Tim Lentz and Kickapoo Tribal Chairman Steve Cadue to oversee the dedication and exchange a proclamation during the ceremony.
The sign is apparently to serve as a symbol between a closer working relationship between the two governments, with Cadue and Lentz, over the past several months, working together towards that goal.
The two foresee the partnership between the city and the Kickapoo Tribe as a way to further economic development for both.
Just recently, as real life example of the joint work, the Kickapoo Tribe donated eight fire hydrants to the Reinvent Horton renovation campaign.
The sign dedication, and proclamation exchange, will happen Wednesday afternoon at 4:00 with the public invited to attend.
