(KNZA)--A retired Kansas Highway Patrol trooper will fill a new role at the Brown County Sheriff’s office.
Jerry Clary has been hired for the new part-time position of Community Education Officer.
Sheriff John Merchant introduced Clary to County Commissioners Tuesday.
Among other things, Clary will be in charge of a defensive driving class that will be offered to the public.
Clary retired earlier this year as a master trooper after 27 years.
