(KAIR)--An Atchison doctor will retain his position on the Kansas State Board of the Healing Arts.
Governor Sam Brownback announced Friday that Dr. John Settich has been reappointed to serve a four year term on the board.
Dr. Settich received his bachelor's degree from St. Benedict's College and his master's from DePaul University. He completed his PhD at the University of Chicago and currently serves as professor and Chairman of Benedictine College's Department of Political Science.
The Kansas State Board of Healing Arts regulates 11 healthcare professions and ensures that healthcare professionals meet and maintain certain qualifications in order to protect the public. The governor appoints doctors of various specialties, as well as members of the general public.
