(KAIR)--An upgrade of the USD 377 elementary school's computer labs is forthcoming, made possible by a grant of nearly $28,000.
Superintendent Steve Wiseman says the money comes through the Rural Economic Action Plan Grant which the Atchison County Schools were approved to take part in three years ago.
Certain conditions, such as having a student population below 600, must be met each year to qualify for the funding.
The Board of Education voted to accept the third annual installment, provided by the program overseen by the United States Department of Education, when they met Monday evening.
Wiseman says required information will again be submitted in order to continue to receive the financial help in the future.
