Richardson County Commissioners Receive Schematic of Jail Project

(KLZA)-- Richardson County Commissioners met with representatives of Prochaska & Associates Tuesday.  A schematic design was presented to the Board based on input from Sheriff Houser, Commissioner David Sickel and Sheriff-elect Don Pounds.

 
Commissioners requested the Health Insurance Committee meet with the Board to review whether or not the committee should begin looking into other options that might be available for county employee health insurance coverage.  The Committee will review options again at the next renewal which would be the end of this plan year with the Nebraska Association of County Officials group of Blue Cross / Blue Shield of Nebraska.
 
Highway Superintendent Scott Huppert met with Commissioners. He suggested the final completion items on the Preston Road should probably wait until harvest season is over due to the amount of time the road may have to be closed for the items to be completed.  
 
Commissioners met as a Board of Equalization prior to the regular board meeting.  A contract with Pritchard & Abbott to perform appraisals for assessment purposes of mineral properties in Richardson County was approved.
