(KTNC)--Many roads in northwest Missouri remain closed due to flooding caused by Tuesday night’s heavy rains.
Roads closed Thursday afternoon, according to Missouri Department of Transportation officials, include Atchison County Route N from Route 46 to Route HH in Holt County, and Holt County Routes N and C from Route HH to Route 46 in Atchison County.
All those roads are closed to flooding along the Little Tarkio River.
In Nodaway County, Route 46 from Route 113 to Hawk Road is down to one lane due to flooding along White Cloud Creek, and Route DD is closed four miles west of Skidmore due to a culvert that is out.
MoDOT is encouraging people to check the traveler information map at
www.modot.org/northwest for updates on road closures before venturing onto the highways.
