(KNZA)--A man has been sentenced to 14 years in prison for his role in the death of a St. Joseph man last September.
KQ2-TV reports 39-year-old Robert Jarrell was handed the sentence Thursday in a Buchanan County courtroom on charges of voluntary manslaughter, armed criminal action and abandonment of a corpse.
A jury found Jarrell guilty of the charges last month in the death of Jason Davies.
Another man, Martin Rilinger, was sentenced to 15 years in prison for his role in Davies' death earlier this year.
Authorities say Davies was beaten to death with a frying pan and a baseball bat. His body was found near the Missouri River in Leavenworth.
