Mound City School Board Opposed to Proposed Statewide Amendment
09/26/2014

(KLZA)-- A short meeting for the Mound City School Board this week.

Board members approved a resolution opposing Amendment #3 on the November ballot in Missouri.  It is the feeling of the Board that if adopted the amendment would remove more local control from school district, is costly and promotes excessive amounts of standardized testing.

Superintendent Ken Eaton reported the building project surveys have been completed and the architectural plans should be completed in the next two weeks.

It was reported there are currently 255 students attending classes in Kindergarten through 12th grade with 20 Preschool students enrolled.  The count is down four from the start of school in 2013.
