Benedictine Prepares For Annual Halloween Event
10/13/2014

(KAIR)--The students and faculty from various science departments at Benedictine college are preparing to present their annual Spooky Science Halloween event, and are once again out to show that learning can be fun.

Numerous displays and demonstrations, including the Ghost of Einstein, a pumpkin pendulum, and a Haunted Chemistry lab will be available, along with face painting, mask making, and beanbag zombies. Kids will also have the chance to see if air can lift them at the hoverboard exhibit.

Dr. Terry Malloy says there will also be a crazy, one-armed zookeeper running around with such creatures as snakes, tarantulas, and bearded dragons.

Malloy adds that while the event promises to be a lot of fun, the goal is to stimulate curiosity and promote science to the Atchison community.

The third annual event will take place early this year due to midterm exams, and is scheduled to take place Friday evening from 7:00-9:00 on all floors of Westerman Hall on the Benedictine campus.
