11/03/2014

(KAIR)--Benedictine College plans to wrap up it's Wisdom of the Ages exhibit with an appearance from one of the Founding Fathers.

Bill Baker, who has portrayed Thomas Jefferson at Virginia's Colonial Williamsburg for over twenty years, will be in character Saturday morning at 10:00 in the O'Malley-McAllister Auditorium on the Benedictine campus. He will provide his thoughts on some of the most historic early American documents on display in the exhibit.

Prior to his appearance, the audience will be entertained by the dancers from Missouri Town 1855, who will give a show of period dances from the early 1800's. The documentary, “We the People” will also be available for viewing. At the conclusion of the event, the exhibit will be open for public viewing in the Laughlin Rotunda of the Ferrell Academic Center.

“Wisdom of the Ages” is a major exhibition from the Remnant Trust, Inc that includes documents such as a page from the Guttenberg Bible from 1455, a copy of the Magna Carta from 1576 and the first public printing of the Emancipation Proclamation from the New York Times in 1862.

The exhibit is free and open to the public from November 8th-15th on weekdays evenings from 4:00-8:00, 10:00am-1:00pm on Saturdays, and 9:00am-1:00pm on Sundays.
