(KAIR)--The victim of a Thursday afternoon fatal Jefferson County farm accident has been identified.
According to a press release from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s office, 58-year-old Valley Falls resident Mike Miller was killed in the accident.
Miller was part of a crew working at a grain bin when he fell into the bin and became entrapped in the grain. An attempt to rescue him was not successful.
The accident took place just after 1:00 on a property on Swabville Road, about eight miles west of Valley Falls.
The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office was assisted in the attempted rescue by the Valley Falls Fire Department, Nortonville Fire Department, Rock Creek Fire, Jefferson County Emergency Management, and Jefferson County EMS.
