ACCHS To Honor Vets

(KAIR)--Students from the National Honor Society at Atchison County Community High School will honor veterans with their annual Veteran's Day ceremony, set to take place Tuesday morning.

National Honor Society Members Rachel Newquist and Jeremy Lutz are two of the students working hard to prepare for the event. Newquest says that a video presentation featuring pictures and video clips of veterans is just one way they will honor vets during the program.

Lutz adds that music will play a big part as well. He says the high school band will be preforming along with the High School Sound Masters.

NHS Sponsor Jenna Taliaferro says several local veterans have already confirmed that they will be in attendance, and that the whole focus for the event is to show the true meaning of a veteran.

The ceremony will be held in the auditorium of the Junior/Senior High School and will start promptly at 9:00. The event is free, and everyone is invited to attend.
