Hearing Postponed in Hiawatha Burglaries Case

(KNZA)--The preliminary hearing for a Hiawatha teen charged in two Hiawatha business burglaries and an attempted burglary has been postponed to next year.
The hearing for 18-year-old Dalton Herwig was continued Wednesday to February 18th.
Herwig is charged with nine counts in connection with break-ins at Nigus Liquor and Davies Oil along with an attempted burglary at Henry Liquor late last month.
Two juveniles, 17-year-old Jesper Winsea, of Reserve, and 16-year-old Kyle Winsea, of Horton, have also been charged in the burglaries.
Herwig remains in the Brown County Jail on $40,000 bond.
