(KAIR)--A single vehicle wreck on K32 Highway in Leavenworth County Thursday afternoon sent a Leavenworth man to the hospital.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, the wreck was reported just before 1:15 about 500 feet west of 222nd Street.
The Patrol says 61-year-old Ernest Bjorgaard was westbound on K32 Highway when his vehicle left the southside of the roadway for an unknown reason. The vehicle then struck a field entrance and became airborne for approximately 35 feet before coming to a rest in a south ditch.
Bjorgaard, who was not wearing a seat belt, was transported to Lawrence Memorial Hospital for treatment of what was described as disabling injuries.
