(KNZA)--A change of plea for an Atchison County man accused of arson in Brown County.
39-year-old Johnny Hogue appeared in Brown County District Court Friday, entering a plea of no contest to the felony charge.
Last month, he pled not guilty, and was expected to go to trial in February.
Brown County Attorney Kevin Hill says sentencing for Hogue is now set for February 2nd.
Hogue is accused of setting fire to a 1998 Chevy Camaro on March 4th.
Following the no contest plea, Hogue was released on supervised bond of $25,000, as established by the court. The numerous restrictions include having no contact with the victim.
Hogue also faces a misdemeanor charge of sexual battery.
Arraignment in that separate case is scheduled for January 7th.
