(KAIR)--Atchison city officials have announced a minor change to the previously published solid waste collection schedule for the upcoming holiday.
The city had previously sent out notice that trash collected on the Thursday route would be collected a day early. The city now plans to perform all collections from Thursday and Friday on the following Monday, December 29th.
City Public Works and Utilities Director Justin Pregont says they are still planning on running the Thursday route on Wednesday, but since there are quite a few people who forget when collections are set a day early, officials decided on the new collection date to ensure everything is collected.
