(KNZA)--A tradition of Christmas is in the works, but food donations are still needed for the event.
That comes as Freda Galer again helms the planning for the annual Christmas Dinner in Holton, set for Thursday.
Galer, who has volunteered to make the dinner a reality for 16-years, says she's still needing the community to help out with food for the table. “I need about ten salads, fruit and vegetable salads,” Galer tells MSC News. “I still need some green beans, and sweet potatoes, and I still need about five pies.”
Galer says anyone who can make a donation should call her at 785-364-4160.
Thursday's Christmas dinner will be held from 11:00 until 1:00 at the Evangel United Methodist Church Family Life Center, located at 227 Pennsylvania Avenue, in Holton.
