(KNZA)--A pedestrian was struck and killed Friday night on K-16 Highway in Leavenworth County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says 53-year-old Leslie Garven, of Meriden, was northbound in a Ford Explorer when she struck 28-year-old Tonganoxie resident Clinton Beach, who was on the highway, shortly before 7:30.
Beach was pronounced dead at the scene. Garven wasn’t hurt.
The Patrol says the accident happened just north of Haigwood Road in Tonganoxie.
