(KNZA)--Two separate Jackson County hunting accidents Sunday morning left two injured.
Sheriff Tim Morse says the first happened around 7:40 near Delia, a half-mile north of 118th and B. Roads, when a shotgun accidentally discharged, striking a 15-year-old boy in the leg. He was transported to a Topeka hospital for treatment. At last check, he was listed in stable condition.
Morse says the teen and two other minor boys, including the ten-year-old with the shotgun, were turkey hunting at the time of the accident. No adults were with them.
The second accident happened shortly before 11:30 when a man fell from his tree stand, located near Soldier, in the area of 246th and G. Road.
He was transported by Jackson County EMS to a Topeka hospital for treatment.
At last check, the man, whose name is not made public, was listed in stable condition.
