(KNZA)--Charges have been filed against a 26-year-old St. Joseph man in connection with a deadly bar shooting early Thursday morning.
KQ2-TV reports Luis Alfredo Villegas-Rosa has been charged with second-degree murder in the shooting death of 26-year-old John Baynham, Jr., of St. Joseph.
Police say Villegas-Rosa fired three shots at Baynham during a fight between the two at the First and Last Chance Tavern on Garfield Street around 1:30 Thursday morning.
Baynham was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities say an officer spotted Villegas-Rosa leaving the bar. He was arrested a few blocks away after the officer stopped him.
