(KLZA)-- If you are an irrigator and are interested in applying fertilizer or pesticides through your center pivot irrigation system, you will need to complete chemigation training to get your license. If your license is expiring and you need to receive this training, contact Randy Pryor at 402-821-2151 in the Saline County Extension office. The training will be held in Wilber on Friday, March 6, beginning at 9 a-m at First Evangelical Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall.
The final Private Pesticide Applicator Training Meeting in the area will be held in Humboldt on the Richardson County Fairgrounds in the Ag Building at 6 p-m on Thursday, March 12th.
If you are interested in getting a Custom Applicator License for applying pesticides, there is an initial training scheduled for Beatrice on March 17th. For information about the certification process, contact the UNL Pesticide office at (402) 472-1632 or (800) 627-7216.
