Fire Crews Battle Overnight Fire In St. Joseph
03/12/2015

(KAIR)--A St. Joseph family is left homeless after an overnight fire at their home.

KQ2-TV reports that fire crews were called to a residence located in the 1200 block of Douglas Street just after 11:30 Wednesday night after neighbors reported seeing smoke. Upon arrival, firefighters found the home on fire.

Investigators are blaming a candle left burning for starting the fire.

The American Red Cross is providing shelter and other services to the family displaced by the fire.
