(MSC News)--The numbers are in, as the annual “County Health Rankings and Roadmaps” report is released.
Compiled by the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute School of Medicine and Public Health, the annual study takes numerous factors into consideration, including diet and exercise, availability of quality health care, and education and employment, in order to rank the health of individual counties for all fifty states.
In Kansas, the scores of local counties varied, with Pottawatomie County ranked 3rd among the state's 105 counties, while Brown County came in 84th. Atchison County earned a ranking of 68th, Nemaha County 13th, Doniphan County 27th, Jefferson County 54th, Jackson County 36th, Leavenworth County 23rd and Marshall County is ranked 34th.
