(KAIR)--A theft at an Atchison bar Sunday morning has led to the arrest of a Topeka man on theft and drug related charges.
Police Chief Mike Wilson says a 25-year-old female victim reported the theft of a wallet and several cell phones from a table in the bar, located in the 100 block of Second Street. She told investigators the items were taken sometime between late Saturday night and early Sunday morning.
Police were able to track the cell phones, and located 28-year-old Cody Ross in a vehicle stopped in the 900 block of Parallel approximately a hour after the theft was reported. Upon further investigation, officers discovered what appeared to be marijuana in Ross' possession.
Ross was booked into the Atchison County Jail on charges including possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and theft.
