05/01/2015

(KLZA)-- The Table Rock Volunteer Fire Department responded to a call at the HTRS School site in Table Rock about 12:30 a-m Thursday morning.

The building security system contacted the building custodian about a ground fault.  When checking on the issue the shop area on the north side of the school that is used for one class for students and is also used for bus maintenance had smoke in it.

The fire burned a small hole in the side of the metal building and left a strong smoke smell in the facility.

The cause of the fire has not been determined. It possibly could have started with some rags that had been used for a staining project the prior day.

Superintendent Clint Kimbrough said the insurance adjusters have looked at the building and will be coming up with a cost for the damage to the building and for the cleanup that will be required.
