(MSC News)--A pick-up truck, sought in connection with the shooting death of a former Wathena girl, has been located.
The Kansas City Star reports the unoccupied truck was located late Tuesday night and is being inspected for possible evidence related to the shooting death of 16-year-old Jamie Hernandez-Zubia. She was found shot to death on a Kansas City, Kansas street Saturday.
It's believed she was a passenger in one of two vehicles whose occupants may have exchanged gunfire.
Hernandez-Zubia disappeared from her Wathena foster care placement in June of 2012.
Police continue to seek information related to her death. Anyone with tips should call (816) 474-8477.
