(KLZA)-- A former Richardson County Deputy Sheriff currently on probation is scheduled for a preliminary hearing in Richardson County Court July 22nd after being a arrested on three felony counts.
26-year old Joshua Nincehelser of Dawson was arrested on charges of first degree sexual assault, incest and child abuse. The Richardson County Sheriff’s Office received a child sexual assault complaint and requested the Nebraska State Patrol investigate. Following his arrest, Nincehelser has been held in the Nemaha County, Nebraska Jail. Bond has been set at $15,000.
In January Nincehelser was sentenced to three years probation and ordered to do 180 days of community service on charges of criminal mischief and false reporting. In June of 2014, while on patrol as a Richardson County Deputy Sheriff, Nincehelser shot himself in the arm, and fired shots into his patrol unit, but reported being shot by a motorist when he stopped to see if the man needed assistance.
If convicted of these new charges Nincehelser could be sentenced to life in prison.
