(KAIR)--The Platte County Sheriff's office is warning county residents to be cautious of the occupants of a 2004 white Chevrolet Tahoe who were seen to be taking part in suspicious activity earlier this week.
The office reports that the four white male occupants of the vehicle went to residences in northern Platte County, as well as southern Buchanan county on Monday, and were knocking on both the front and back doors simultaneously. If the resident answered, the occupants of the vehicle would state that they were simply soliciting lawn care services.
The vehicle was later confirmed to be stolen out of St. Joseph.
At this time, no burglaries have been reported from these incidents, but the investigation into the identity of the vehicle occupants, conducted by the Platte County Sheriff's Office, the Buchanan County Sheriff's Office, and the St. Joseph Police Department, is ongoing,
Platte County Sheriff Mark Owen says that the occupants may be casing home to burglarize, and to contact the Sheriff's Department at 816-858-3521 to report any suspicious activity.
