(KNZA)--A two-vehicle wreck on U.S. 75 Highway in Holton early Thursday evening sent seven to the hospital—including five children.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says a Pontiac Grand Prix driven by 19-year-old Onaga resident Jeffery Chestnut pulled out from a parking lot in the 200 block of Highway 75 and struck a southbound Lincoln Navigator driven by 35-year-old Marlene Baldwin of Horton.
Chestnut, Baldwin, and five children in the Baldwin vehicle, ranging in age from 3 to 15, were transported to the Holton Community Hospital with unspecified injuries.
The children included 15-year-old Eviana Baldwin, 13-year-old Kayla Baldwin, 11-year-old Angel Baldwin, 7-year-old Juan Baldwin, and 3-year-old Sunny Baldwin.
The Patrol says all the occupants were wearing seat belts or were properly restrained.
The wreck was reported shortly after 6 Thursday evening.
