(KAIR)--The case of a Topeka man, accused of possessing methamphetamine and a stolen vehicle tag has been continued.
51-year-old David Wieland appeared in Atchison County District Court Friday morning, where his attorney Rex Lane requested the continuance so that he could discuss the case in more detail with Wieland.
A new court date was set for Monday.
Wieland was arrested earlier this month after an Atchison Sheriff's Department deputy spotted the alleged stolen tag on a vehicle Weiland was driving. Upon further investigation, the deputy discovered what appeared to be methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in Wieland's possession.
