(KLZA)-- A Tarkio, Missouri teen suffered serious injuries early Saturday morning in a one car crash in Nodaway County, Missouri.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 18-year-old Thomas Gilliland was traveling on Highway 46 about 11 miles west of Maryville when he swerved to avoid a deer and lost control of his car. His vehicle traveled off the south side of the road and struck and embankment, overturning several times.
Gilliland was ejected from the vehicle.
Gilliland was transported by ambulance to the St. Francis Hospital in Maryville.
The wreck was reported shortly after 12:30 Saturday morning.
