(KAIR)--A plea has been entered in the case of a Joplin, Missouri man accused of stealing a vehicle that was later recovered in Atchison.
43-year-old Jason Alexander made an appearance in Atchison County District Court Friday morning, where he waived his preliminary hearing and pleaded guilty to one count of felony theft.
Sentencing was set for August 24th.
Atchison police found Alexander, who was wanted on a Missouri detain order for parole violation, at a residence in the 1900 block of Harper drive last month. The vehicle he had allegedly stolen out of Carthage, Missouri, was also found at the scene.
