(KAIR)--The Atchison County Commission has accepted the resignation of Solid Waste Manager Chase Brunick.
Commission Chair Bill Pohl says Brunick, who has held the position for approximately three years, submitted his two week notice Tuesday, because his wife has a job in Kansas City, and they wanted to get closer to that job.
Pohl says the first step in finding a replacement for Brunick is looking over the Solid Waste Manager job description, though “it should be fairly current. We just created this position. We will see if we need to tweak it any, and then we will go ahead and put it up on the website.”
Pohl says the Commission plans to have the position filled in the next two to four weeks.
