St. Joseph Murder Suspect in Custody

(KNZA)--The search for a Saint Joseph murder suspect is over.

KQ2-TV reports 32-year-old Charles Leroy Coats Jr. turned himself in to authorities in Columbia, Missouri Wednesday night.

Coats is charged with second-degree murder in the Saturday shooting death of Jason Ginn of St. Joseph.

According to court documents, Ginn was shot multiple times after an argument with Coats in front of Ginn’s duplex on South 15th Street.  Ginn died of a gunshot wound to the head.
