(KMZA)--A Baileyville resident is $22,000 richer after receiving a winning lottery ticket in Seneca.
The Kansas Lottery identifies the winner as 52-year-old Martha Dalinghaus, who gained the free 2by2 ticket as a prize for winning a previous 2by2 drawing.
Dalinghaus was awarded the ticket at Seneca Travel Stop.
Dalinghaus and her husband, Joe, plan to use the winnings to pay bills and to help a friend recently diagnosed with stage 4 cancer.
The couple farms near Baileyville and just celebrated their 34th wedding anniversary.
In a press release issued by the Kansas Lottery, Dalinghaus says they are thankful for everything they have and that the money will come in handy, with Joe several years ago badly injured in an industrial accident.
