Pawnee Co Commission Discusses Sale of Properties

Pawnee County Courthouse

(KLZA)-- The Pawnee County Commissioners approved a resolution this week increasing the 2015-16 Fiscal Year Budget levy lid by an additional 1% from the state mandated 2.5%.  County Clerk Candi Nicholas discussed budget items with the Board during the meeting.

A public hearing was held to discuss the sale and set the fair market value for a lot in Lewiston, three lots in Steinauer and six lots in Pawnee City. Pawnee County will advertise the properties for public auction with the sale date set for September 11th at 1 p-m. The fair market value was set at $345 on the Lewiston property, $670 on the Steinauer property and $1,885 on the Pawnee City property.

Lisa Beethe, Program Manager with the Southeast Nebraska Development District and Craig Eberle, Business Loan Officer with SENDD met with Commissioners to give their annual report. Beethe requested the Pawnee County Board sign a new Interlocal agreement and resolution joining SENDD. The request was approved.

Highway Superintendent Chris Rauner discussed various projects and discussed the possible sale of surplus equipment including a CAT D6 bulldozer and a CAT paddle scraper.  Rauner will be checking with an auction company about their process.

A public hearing was scheduled for September 15th at 10:30 a-m regarding a bid letting for a Pawnee County bridge project.
