(KLZA)-- The Nemaha Natural Resources District Board of Directors has requested Environmental Trust Funds to help with the purchase of a new no-till drill. The current drill was purchased with similar funding in 1997.
The resolution approved will request up to $22,500 for a new drill next fiscal year. The Nemaha NRD contribution toward the purchase would be $7,500.
Other Board action included the approval of a well permit for Anthony Ahern for an irrigation well in Richardson County.
Dan Hodgers of Julian and Don Siske of Table Rock will serve as the Nemaha NRD voting delegate and alternate at the annual conference of Natural Resources Districts in Kearney in September.
A proposed donation of a small parcel of land adjacent to the Steamboat Trace Trail was explained by Nemaha NRD Manager Bob Hilske A draft agreement has been sent to the landowner and a surveyor has been contacted to assist in determining some of the boundaries.
