(KAIR)--A Muscotah woman, accused of abusing her three month old son, has entered a plea in the case.
22-year-old Heidi Pace pleaded not guilty to one felony count of abuse of a child, and one felony count of aggravated battery during an arraignment hearing Friday morning in Atchison County District Court.
A jury trial was set for November 3rd.
Pace was arrested in April, after a social worker at Children's Mercy Hospital reported to law enforcement officials that a child was being treated for injuries, believed to have been caused by abuse.
Pace remains in the Atchison County Jail, held on a $50,000 bond.
