(KAIR)--No injuries are reported following the report of a shooting Friday afternoon in Atchison.
Police were called to 9th and L Streets around 2:00 after residents reported that shots had been fired.
The nearby Saint Benedict Catholic School went into a short, precautionary lockdown when notified of the occurrence.
No property damage was immediately discovered.
Atchison Police Chief Mike Wilson says they continue to investigate.
The city has been on edge since Wednesday, when a 24-year-old was shot to death outside a convenience store. The shooter is in custody.
